Why Tabaco costs what it does | Price Transparency

Our Approach to Pricing
At Tabaco, pricing is intentional. Every piece we create is rooted in craft, material integrity, and design that holds its value over time. We don’t believe in inflated markups or artificial pricing structures. What you see reflects what it genuinely takes to make the garment, properly.
Our collections focus on high-quality leather goods and statement pieces that require specialist skill and careful construction. That level of detail comes with real costs, and we are transparent about that reality.
What You’re Paying For
When you purchase a Tabaco piece, you are paying for the full journey of the garment. From sourcing premium materials to skilled production, international logistics, and applicable taxes, each stage contributes to the final price.
Beyond production, pricing also supports the infrastructure behind the brand. This includes product development, sampling, studio and operational costs, digital platforms, marketing, and the people who help bring each collection to life.
Materials and Craftsmanship
Material choice is one of the biggest cost drivers in our collections. We work with high-grade leathers and specialist hardware selected for durability, structure, and finish. These materials are heavier, harder to work with, and significantly more expensive than mass-market alternatives.
Our garments are produced by skilled makers who understand leather construction and complex detailing. This level of workmanship takes time and expertise, and it is paid accordingly.
Why We Don’t Compete on Price
Fast fashion prices are built on volume and speed. That model relies on cutting costs somewhere in the supply chain, whether in labour, material quality, or longevity. We choose not to participate in that system.
Tabaco pieces are designed to be worn repeatedly, styled differently, and kept. They are not seasonal disposables. The price reflects that philosophy.
Building Responsibly
Running an independent fashion brand means investing long before a product is sold. Development, sampling, and production are all paid upfront. Our pricing allows us to operate responsibly, pay collaborators fairly, and reinvest into future collections without compromising our standards.
We believe modern luxury values honesty. Understanding the cost behind a garment gives meaning to the piece and confidence in the purchase. Tabaco pricing is about substance, not shortcuts
